The Christian Heurich Brewing Company was a Washington, D.C., brewery founded in 1872 and incorporated by Christian Heurich in 1890. The original brewery was located where the John F. Kennedy Center for the Preforming Arts stands today. Christian Heurich's grandson, Gary Heurich, resurrected the brand as Washington’s Hometown Beer. Packaging and collateral materials incorporated elements of the original brewing company with updated elements.
